Thread: Gay men, do you agree with this?

As far as I knew, homosexual ment that a man likes another man`s masculinity, and that being gay is being efemminate is just a fake stereotype, but here is an article on Wikipedi:

I am bisexual, more on the gay side though. I'm not a woman, I dont go running around using words like "fabulous" or other nonsense. I like guys, thats all.

The are men, whom love women AND are effeminate. It is not about how 'butch' or 'gurly' one is, it is about whom we Love.

I think being a homosexual is being attracted to the male form. There's some men who love the effeminate gay men and some gay men who love the masculine gay guys. I don't' believe that being a homosexual means that you like his masculinity.

A homosexual is a man that is attracted sexually to other men. It has nothing to do with masculinity, personality, or any other stereotypes. It is purely and simply sexual attraction.

I do not really agree with a lot of the answers that have been given so here is my opinion on this matter as a gay man.

sexual attraction is just part of any relationship straight or gay.

if you are straight answer me this. what do you look for in a girlfriend?
is is her body? the color or style of her hear? her intelligence? the way she acts around other people? is it something ales, or all the above?

well it is the same for us, we look for the same things. in a boyfriend or a life partner.

as for the article. the terms they us are generally accepted as far as I know. but for someone to say that we are so different that we do not deserve the same rights and privileges as the heterosexual population is totally unfair.
