Why doesn't Brad Pitt have a star on the Hollywood walk of fame?

Actually there are quite a few A list actors that don't have stars. How do they decide whether you get a star on the walk of fame or not?

seweccentric - I never even really thought about it but you're right, I just looked it up. He should have won at least one out of the top three best performances he's had, 12 Monkeys, Interview with a Vampire or Fight Club.

I got this. There is a whole process that has to do with being nominated, approved by a committee, and PAYING money to get a star. If you actually go to Hollywood you will see A TON of stars for people you really don't know. I will list the website for the hollywood chamber of commerce that tells you about the whole process, but basically, Brad Pitt just needs someone to nominate and pay for his star as I'm sure he'd be approved but it will probably coincide with one of his movie releases. They also only accept a certain amount per year so there may be a wait list for people that have already been approved. Here's the website.
