| This sounds like a homework question. There are many examples of cultural imperialism (inc. rewriting history Pearl Harbour), and non-competitive practices in film distribution and financing that prevent 'foreign films' from demonstrating cultural diversity.
One example of Hollywood's successful globalisation is the fact that new releases of blockbusters now get reported on the BBC as news! The publicity machine behind such films effectively squeezes smaller, independent films from the marketplace. |
