While I praise Hollywood for producing good blockbuster films and very talented stars, I don't like celebrity scandals as its downside. If you take a look at what kinds of scandals that celebrities have done since the advent of cinema in the 20th century, then I list all of the negative publicities that affected most celebrities, even former child stars:
* Leaked sex tapes or nude photos
* Rumored drug and alcohol use
* Frequent partying that caused the frequent absence of stars at film sets
* Celebrity use of homophobic or racial slurs in public or the press
* DUI and rehab
* Overdoses and suicide attempts

These are all of the above celebrity scandals that I can think of, though there could be many more. If celebrity showbiz never suffered any scandalous moments at all, then many famous stars could be spending time helping the poor and needy in the Third World instead of partying at clubs.

To be quite honest, no...I can't.

Actually, since the golden age of Hollywood, there's been scandals. What with Jerry Lee Lewis and marrying his teenage cousin, Elvis and his hip shaking, perscription drug addiction, and marrying a 16 year old (I think she was...), then there was Frank Sinatra and his mafia connections, Marilyn Monroe's unconfirmed affair with JFK...there's really so much.

In fact, even in the days of silent picture movies, there was scandal. But, those were mostly suicides.


All in all, nahh...I can't imagine Hollywood without it's scandals. It just seems like it's gotten a little out of hand these past couple of years.
