What recourse do we have if an auto repair shop causes damage to our vehicle that
was in their shop??? service technician stepped on drive rather than reverse... ie. Shattered windshield, front bumper pulled off, and red stains on passenger door side ???, etc. they offered to make necessary repairs since they are liable for the damages. We feel, we have the right to take photos of the damages, decide who will make repairs and get written estimates. What are our rights as customers on how this should be handled? Do we report this to our insurance??
