Suzuki alto or Chery QQ. Whats a better choice considering durability and safety?

You could save loads of gas with both of these cars having 800cc so im planning to buy one in connection to the continuous increase of oil price. But im not sure what to choose between them. What do you say is more safe and durable and a wiser choice? Or are there any other cars with similar 800cc feature you can suggest? Thanks!!
