OK Engine buffs.........what does a liter measure?
For instance....if you have a engine with 3.8 liter what does the lieter measure? I know HP measures hourse power......tourq measures tourq........what does a liter measure?
It measures the displacement (or combustion chamber size).
In theory, ALL things being equal, larger engine would use more gas but have more power. But in reality, due to much engineering, you can have small engine that have much more HP than larger engine. But there's some limit to how much a power small engine put out, before destroying itself.
