my car is getting repo. !!!!

i dont mind the problem is that its on the other side of the border and it has expired tags for about 2 years already and its not wearth me paying 4 the tags so my ? is if the officers at the us border give me a hard time in any sort i know police and highwat patrol but im not woreied abt them just at the border, i was thinking about getting a temp. permit just to bring it in, but im not sure how much it cost any IDEAS OVER ALL!?
