I need expert mechanical advice on a 2003 Dodge Neon.?

i have a 2003 dodge neon. I was at the auto parts store, by chance picking up something and then the car was hard to start. The parts guy check the codes and it indicated the cam positioning sensor was bad. I had a mechanic put a new one on and it does the same thing but seems to start easier after it sets a while. It drives great but just hard to start. Any idea what might be the main problem?
