I live in VA. My car was broken into last night. The dash was torn apart
and my subwoofer stolen.? The A/C vents were removed but are laying on the floor of the car. My question is, do I file a police report? I don't have insurance right now because I was going to a new company but I don't know if that will get me in trouble when the cops come. Any insight would be helpful...
Tell them you haven't driven it. It would be illegal to operate a motor vehicle without insurance , not own one.
If they wanted to , they may give you a ticket for leaving it parked for such a long time ( cause you did not drive it ...wink , wink) , but I doubt they will.
You also can't have your license taken away for a parking violation.
