I live in NY they wanted 160 for the front brake repairs, reasonable?

Is 160 a reasonable price? I feel like it should be lower, I have 2001 Honda Civic. I have almost 90,000 miles on my car, I've never changed the brakes. Would I do better at a pep boys/Firestone/midas? Also, I'd like my front brakes to last like they did, what are the best to get?
