Your spellings ok, so dont apologise, but heck, I'd have been rapt to get a car for my birthday, no such luck, had to get my own and pay for it myself, I've only got an auto licence, not a manual, had to get it in a hurry cause ex b/f got done for dui and the car was a torana hatchback 3.3 litre auto (holden in australia) was a hot car, engine was blue printed and I had it for 20 years and she was still going when I sold her (called her rani) means princess in indian, personally if I was you, I'd leave it as it is cause you will decrease the value of the car by changing it from original specs., and hey, at least it gives you time to get used to the steering, breaking etc., of a car that powerful, b4 u have 2 worry about gears, much safer, a wise woman is your mum, give her a hug and a kiss for being so kind to you!
