How long, in Los Angeles, after taking driving school can you take it again?

(I got a moving violation Aug 18, 2007, and did traffic school and then got a moving violation again on April 8, 2008.) The cop who gave me the last ticket said I was eligible for traffic school if my last ticket was between 6-9 months ago, but the Los Angeles court's website says it has to be more the 18 months between violations...)
