Thread: How do toll collectors raise the arm at toll plazas?

How do toll collectors raise arms at toll plazas? And last but not least how do are toll baskets at unmanned plazas reported/repaired if the Machine malfunctions?

They push a button. Or it might be automatic; they put in the amount that the driver paid, and the computer does the rest.
