UFC Undisputed 2009 Fighting Techniques?

Okay I have heard that kickboxing/BJJ is the way to go for the long run and having equal way outs in KO and Tap, but a friend of mine said wrestling/boxing is best, any word on the good and bad of both and why or why not to pick them? I love striking, with range, and i like ground play too, i dont want to just give up and tap or be stuck when im on the ground.
