Learning MMA Martial Arts?

So, I'm turning 17 in 4 months, And I currently Play football and Lacrosse, I love both sports, but i've always thought fighting may just be what i could enjoy doing. I was wondering what would be my best course of action if I wanted to start fighting in MMA event (such as which martial art would best suit me, where could i learn this [in NJ])

I weight about 170lbs, 5'10. Strong Lower body (deadlift 460, Squat 360) As well as decent upperbody (Bench 210). How can i get into the sport as well as start loosing the stomach fat to get into better shape. (smaller/more agile)
My main goal from this is to get into better shape which football is not cutting, but i'd like to see if i could fight competitively. So i'd like a martial art that would be best for competitive fighting (such as UFC, MMA, Ect)

The best way is just go to your local mma training center most towns have multiple gyms just go and train hard the trainers will try to determine the martail art that fits you
