Why because when you kill someone (punishment)
who has killed someone (victim) it stops the person from killing more people.
It is said that once a person kills once, it becomes easier the 2nd, 3rd , 4th time around.
The problem is u.s. society has forgotten that fact. They remember that when it comes to "dumb" animals. After a mountain lion in Calif killed a jogger, the authorites went out and killed the cat. Why? they figure that because the cat attacked a human once, it would liably do it again. Funny thing with their stupid thinking that they do not associate that with the so called "intelligent" human. If an animal is "dumb" and gets killed for its actions, then an "intelligent" (knowing right from wrong) should be tortured before they are killed. The same way they did in their victims. Problem is the authorites are too sensible for that logic, so we have the revolving door system involving criminals.
That last manhunt would not have been necessary (in which the convict killed 8 people) before he was recaptured, had he been "put down."
No the u.s. is "too intelligent" for that. Funny they remember the rest of the 10 comandments. You should not steal , lie, cheat. ect.
