What are some good books to read?

Genres I like:
Autobiography/Biography (only of legendary people such as Bette Davis)
Court Room Drama/Lawyers/Politics
Thriller
War
Science
Horror
Suspense
Metafiction
Medical/Forensic
Science Fiction
Fictional stories (It has to be really interesting)
Realistic Fiction
Humor
Historical fiction
Crime
Gore

Please no children/young adult books unless they're really THAT good.
Absolutely NO Twilight.

i dont know who they are by, but it is all spelled right, and they are great books, the first and the last are fiction, the middle is a true story.

Dear friend Autt,
The Holy Word of God - the Holy Bible written in any language you know in your lifetime on the earth.

The Crucified and Resurrected Living Holy Righteous One - Jesus Christ - the Lord and Saviour of Mankind on the earth, promised by all the prophets to come again soon as the King of kings and Lord of lords in Power and Glory to establish the Holy Eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and receive good news because one's good deeds will not make him enter Paradise." They asked, "Even you, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Even I, unless and until Allah bestows His pardon and Mercy on me." - Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Hadith 474

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielweski is one of my all time favourite books ever!
World War Z if you are wanting a realistic zombie book (Max Brooks)
Wicked by Gregory Maguire ( about the wicked witch of the west)
Only Revolutions also by Danielweski
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman...well really any thing by Neil is good

Anything Dan Brown or John Green.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is fantastic... not sure if that parallels with your children/young adult book dislike... but I recommend you still give it a chance.

There's this great book, the number one best seller of all time.
I highly suggest the New International Version.
It's easier to read, and has all you mentioned in it and more
The title is spelled bible, seriously, it has everything you mentioned
