Target audience for those stupid twilight books?

My friends say I should buy it and read it but I think not. But they seem to think that its a book I like.

I havent been able to find anything to tell me what the target audience is. Anyone have any ideas.

Im think tweens and teens...girls of course...I dont think I'd see many boys with that book riding the subway train.

But my 22 year old cousin has been reading them and keeps telling me to give them another try...

But I wont...they are really overhyped and some really bad writing.

Its for all ages, both genders.
Read them. Theyre really good.

Its like a romance/action/fantasy.

You will not enjoy it. Stephanie Meyer enjoys obsessing over Edward's "smoldering eyes" and she writes like a 14 year old girl. I'm 15, and I hated the series.

The target audience is 13-18 year old girls, although there are exceptions to that rule.
