Chagrin, chagrin, chagrin.....

86 different ways to say "yellow" (We get it, his eyes are yellow. You can just call them "eyes" now for Christ's sake).

"Perfect" "God-like" and "marble", not to mention "cold". Who is she dating; Michelangelo's David?

And don't laugh about the Thesaurus; she the biggest Thesaurus rapist in history! It's fairly obvious, because she frequently misuses large words that she obviously looked up when in need of a synonym.

Apparently BYU's English department only teaches you to use a thesaurus and Google.com for research, and has no workshop-based writing classes. On the other hand, the school sure knows how to turn out frustrated Mormon housewives with secret sexual fetishes.

Edit: OMG, how could I have forgotten the chuckling? AAGGHHH!

Repeated words by Stephenie Meyer?

Wow... I just read the first twilight book and her half draft of it in Edwards point of view. and I've noticed something. she has a very low vocabulary... i mean... i'm sure she could have busted out a thesaurus to look up another word for grimace or chagrin. I love the book so far and all but I mean... if she's graduated from university with a degree in english literature, shouldn't she have a larger vocabulary. i'm not complaining that, yes, it's easy to read... but it's a bit excessive... actually very excessive with how much she uses words over and over... and over!!! I loved the book.. but it was just something i noticed... and i was also wondering could anyone give me some more examples of words she overuses?
oh yeah... scowl... i remember that one alot too...
