A modern day Romeo and Juliet book?

I found this book in the bookstore a while ago but I forgot what it's called. I read Romeo and Juliet for school like a month ago and watched the 1968 movie and fell in love with it. So does anyone know the name of the modern version? It's not the "sequel" by James Edwards. Or does anyone have any suggestions about a story kind of like theirs except with maybe a happier ending? lol I'm kind of a sap so I like all the romance stuff though. So either tell me the name of the book if you know what I'm talking about or a good book to read...thanks!

Depending on your age group, I know of a couple - I love the idea, too.

One of my favourites is "An Earthly Knight" by (Janet McNaughton? I think?). Anyways, it's pretty recent, so you can find it in your library.

An older one that's literally a "Modern" R & J is called "When We First Met."
I don't remember the author, but it's about 20 years old I think.
It's about a boy and a girl in highschool who meet and fall instantly in love, as with R&J, but their families hate each other; without giving too much away, one member of his family killed someone in hers.
If you can find it, you'll love it.

If you want to talk more,
I can probably remember a ton later.
    But it's early and I'm tired. :P

    Good Luck!
