my pink chinese phone wont bluetooth?

whenever my friends try to send me something by blue tooth it doesn't work even when there right beside me and I'm sure that my device is turned on anyone know why its doing this?
btw it always says "write file failed" whenever i don't get something and the blue tooth did work before and if it helps i use maxis I'm not sure about the cell phone carrier tho
