I just got a samsung t239 today and I can't get the bluetooth to work?

I've tried searching for people and they've tried searching for me and it wont work. Yes its turned on and it doesn't have a my visibility option so I'm assuming that when i turn it on i'm automatically visible. But its not working help please????????????

i don't know how to fix that but take it back to the company, and also if i were you i wouldn't use it,because anybody can get info off your phone if you do.
