I'm getting a new ps3 299 one from walmart, and was wondering if blue ray discs are worth the investment? or should I stick with regular dvds? I know blue ray is more expensive, but are they worth it? opinions plz?
Blu-ray is by far worth it as long as you have a full hd tv that is 1080p. The blu-ray discs make the viewing experience far better and the extra crisp images are amazing. Also blu-rays are a little harder to scratch for some reason. Dvds are ok and the ps3 will upconvert them but its just not the same and also some blu-rays come with extra options that dvds dont come with.
BLURAY, you wouldn't be asking the question, go and see it for yourself. The detail is so vivid, great for movies, I just got The Polar Express in 3D and was blown away by the quality.
