Is it the right time to buy laptop with Blu-ray drive now?

I am thinking about buying a HP dv5 series laptop that has a Blu-ray drive.As discribed on Bestbuy's website, it is a "Blu-ray Disc-enabled multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with read support for next-generation Blu-ray Disc". However, the wording is somewhat quaint to me. First of all, it doesn't use BD-ROM. Second of all, it doesn't indicate the read speed (1x or 2x).

Should I get this laptop? I mean the price is great, but I am afraid this dirve will be too slow to watch HD movies.
