Question about Blu-Ray Players...?
I am thinking about treating myself to a Blue Ray player soon but have a query I hope someone can help with. I understand that 1080p is the best definition to play Blue Ray discs on, but my TV (a Sony 32V2000) only goes up to 720p (and 1080i). Would the picture quality still be noticeably superior to a normal DVD? I have read that there is little difference between 720p and 1080p on a 32inch screen and the difference is only really noticeable on 40inch+ screens. Can anyone offer an opinion? I also have a 5.1 surround sound system, will the sound on blu-ray be much better? One more question, does a Blu-Ray system plug into an HDMI socket?
