I just bought a ps3 40 gb model and they blue ray player is done..... Ive saw a few blue ray players from a 60gb model would these still workin in my 40 gb model?
yea thats what i ment.... its just ive been told that only 40gb version blue ray drives will work on the 40 gb model

Do you mean your Blu-Ray drive on your 40gb is broke, and would one out of a 60gb work?
