Is the pbds dvd+-rw ds-8w1p drive blu-ray capable?

I have the dell inspiron 1526 and the drive says blu-ray disk on it and I put a blu-ray disk in and it couldn't play it or ne thing and I was wondering if it was at all capable of doing that? and if not why does it say that on it?
