How to fix Tv settings for blue ray player?

okay i went to the store and notice in the electronic section that there were playing some blue ray movies, and they looked amazing.! but i come home and my blue ray movies wont look as good as in the store, i have a sony blue ray player s300 and the hdmi cable. my tv is a sharp lc46sb54u any ideas or things i need to fix??

first of all make sure you have the current version of software installed. The current version is 2.16. If not call 1-800-BE-SHARP

Is your tv full HD bluray compatible? If you cannot watch movies at say 24 frames per sec then the tv will likely downscale the picture, then upscale it again so you won't get that really cool picture bluray gives.
