I am trying to hook up my new samsung led tv, panosonic blue ray surround sound, and comcast cable box?

Connect HDMI from cable box and Blu-ray sound system to TV for video then optical cable from cable box to Blu-ray sound system for TV channel audio.

You connect your comcast directly to the tv, along with the Panasonic blu ray disc player. Then connect your tv audio optical audio to the surround sound system. Providing that the system you have is not one of those home theater in a box. They are not design for you to connect anything to it, just watch a movie with surround sound. Hope this will help you out.
