I just bought my ps3 yesterday with a blu ray disk (Transformers), I have it connected with an HDMI cord. Now the big problem is when I play it, my TV while it plays, it seems kinda flickering almost...like its playing at the right speed or something. I ask a friend of mine that had a player also if I could borrow a few of his disks, what I found is that all the disks that say 1080P on the back to this to my screen, while all the 1080i ones play wonderfully.....so.....in that I am assuming that my HDTV is not quite "full" HD..and only supports up to 1080i.

Now what I am asking you tech geniuses out there is how can I get my 80G Sony Playstation 3 to only play up to a MAXIMUM of 1080i, even if the disk inserted does 1080p.
