Thread: Can I play blue ray movies on my laptop???????

i have an hp pavilion entertainment pc and i dont know if i should buy this new movie that came out in dvd and blue ray, i really want to buy it in blue ray (some people have told me it was better),but anyways i dont know if my laptop will play it????? please help

No you can't

Blu-ray (correct spelling ;P) is incompatible with normal CD drives. You need a special drive for it.

Like it is impossible to play a DVD in a CD player, is it not possible to play a blu-ray with a normal DVD player. You will have to have a special blu-ray player. I do not think, that laptops already have a blu-ray player.

Therefore do not wast you money getting the film in blu-ray.
