Can i hook up hdmi to blue ray then component cables to tv?

    I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 series tv.
A Vizio blue ray dvd player.

If i get a HD cable box from Comcast; the hd box will plug into wall through coaxle. Then use HDMI cable to hook up comcast hd box to the blue ray player. Then use component cables to connect blue ray player to my tv.

Will that work to get high definition?
The reason for component cables is because my tv does not have HDMI.

    BD players have no inputs!

From Comcast set-top connect directly to TV.
From BD players connect directly to TV

Either component or HDMI will support HD, but only HDMI usually supports 1080p.
