Thread: is all 3d movies blue ray or can u get 3d movies to watch with the glasses?

I have the sony 3d glasses and a regular dvd player can I watch 3d movies or are they are blue ray

3d movies work totally different from the movies on a regular dvd. That is because there are 2 movies on the disk, not one. One for your left eye only, one for you right eye only. This is do much info for a regular dvd, plus a regular dvd player was not made to read this extra info. So you must have a 3d tv, the glasses that comes with it, a 3d blu ray player, and the 3d blu ray disks.

Now for anaglyph 3d, that uses the colored glasses like red and cyan(blue green), all you need is a regular tv and regular dvd player. This format uses color for the 3d effect, and only uses one movie on the dvd. I think they have pretty much stopped selling dvd's in this format. At least at wal mart and best buy. amazon might still have them.
