Yes, dude I have the same exact TV in my room, and PS3 looks fantastic on it. Especially when playing bluray disc. The collor just jumps out at you. It even looks great with PS3 games. Just make sure you connect it using an HDMI cable for best picture. A PS3 is a great choice dude, graphics are amazing

Now how big is your TV. If u have larger than 42" than it would be a problem

1080i and 1080p wont be noticeable..at least by naked eye if u have smaller to medium sized TV

So just sit down relax and enjoy your 1080i system..dont bother with the scanlines on your TV, it wont be noticeable..maybe you will have eyestrain if you just thinking about p and i..forget it..

1080p is useful for people that has money to burn, had some gigantic TV screen or projector, and of course massive audio equipment to accompany them

Not all games or even bluray movies support this mode yet, most of them is just upscaled and not their actual resolution

You will still get a good picture even though it's not full HD tv. Your tv is around 1350 lines of resolution and the 1080P is around 1920 lines of resolution. 1080P source is only from Blue ray disc movies. To get the full impact get a tv that's 1080P. A good receiver and speakers will have a big impact also. At the mean time you are fine.
