Where does bittorrent store information about completed downloads?

Where does bittorrent store information about completed downloads?
I want to shows all my downloads on my new install of windows without having to download the torrent file again and then have to recheck the files. I put all the downloaded files in the download directory but when bittorrent runs it does not show them.
