DOMiNO provides us with this releases of “Noise”, and explains in the nfo that there were two movies released with this title in 2007, so that we don’t get mixed up. There aren’t many opinions about this movie to go by, with only 49 votes on IMDB and 6 reviews on RT (all fresh, btw), but the casting is the one thing that’s promising. Tim Robbins (who kind of looks like Garth from Wayne’s World in this picture) and William Hurt are two actors with impressive CV.
Note: Oddly, runtime is 1 hr 49 mins according to RT and is only 1 hr 27 mins in this release.
Synopsis: From the creators of “The Believer,” winner of the 2001 Sundance Grand Jury Prize, comes a black comedy about a man caught in the most impossible of conundrums: in love with his hometown, New York City, but driven mad by its noise. Transforming himself into “The Rectifier,” David takes on everyone from the schmuck who ignores his own car alarm to the city’s most powerful citizen, the Mayor. As his daring grows, New Yorkers rally behind him inspiring David to win this fight by the most ingenious of schemes.
