i need help with opening port of my router for bittorrent downloads..?

i stay in dubai and use etisalat's Al shamil broadband. I have a siemens GIGASET 504 AGU router. when i download movies using bittorent 6.2,.....i get a small pop up saying that your router port needs to be open for others to connect...... I can download movies right now, but i want more speed and i think opening up the port should do the trick....can someone help me with this... a step by step procedure will be appreciated....
