How can you speed up bittorrent?

my bittorrent is so slow i was wondering if there are any free safe and easy ways to speed it up?
the file has a potential 121 seeders but only 18 connected and the speed is around 10kb/s

If you are using a home network, you need to setup port forewarding on the router.
First, find out the ports that your BitTorrent client is using. It is in hte program settings.
Second, find out the internal IP address of the machine on the home network. This needs to be static.
Finally, log on to your router and configure port forewarding such that all traffic for the above port is routed to the IP address or the machine.
Your downloads will come in much faster.

choose the more seeded files, close everything else on your computer when your not using it and let it go to work!

do you mean speed my download speed.
it depends on the number of seeds and peers you have for that particular torrent file.
you cant do anything about it.
try finding a file with high seeds and peers

yea, there is a way.

choose the bittorrent files that have more seeders and leachers.

sometimes, the Seeds and Peers are 0, 1 or 2... which means there are no enough people uploading the file in that moment.

the download speed also depends on ur network speed yet a little slower

for example, when I download a file from the internet, the speed reaches 65kb when I use internet download manager.
but when I'm downloading a torrent file, the maximum speed rate is 58kb/s.

I love bittorrent btw, I think using it is easier than using other torrent programs.

when you are searching for a torrent file to download, choose the one with highest SE and LE. if there are zeros, do not try to torrent them.
