Thread: What do you do at a sci-fi club?

I want to start a sci-fi geek/nerd club at my school so I can converse with people of my own kind. It'd be called "Seriously sci-fi" and be about like Doctor Who, Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica and stuff like that.. But the thing is, what would we do? What are some activities I should put in when I make the club? I have no ideas other than just hanging out, talking about things.. Quiz/Trivias? Watch movies? Any ideas?

Besides watching videos/playing games etc

I know some of the star trek clubs do things like a real ships officer would do & give back to their community

examples- "medical" officer would learn CPR and help out at Blood drives

or a "science officer" would volunteer to pick up litter at beaches/roadways or help maintain hiking trails


I have been in a small Doctor Who/British TV fan group and we have helped raise money for a charity
( in our case a small local Vocational school that has a tv station that airs Doctor Who & Britcoms)
