there are a couple of old Twilight Zone episodes: The Invaders and People Are Alike All Over (I think that's the title)
In the Alien series, the Alien seems much less technologically advanced though physically of course, they are stronger and more resilient. (though admittedly, I refuse to admit that the A vs. P movies exist and they may change the rules on that a bit.)
