Is it safe to set your DVD recorder on top of the tv?
I just bought a dvd/vcr recorder and was reading the owner's manual. It states "do not place unit directly on top of the TV set." It also says to avoid strong magnetic fields. I have my stereo on top of my entertainment center and my current dvd/vcr player setting directly on top of the TV with the cable box on top of it. I've never had any problems recording on VHS with this arrangement but was wondering if this might intefere with the DVD recording. There is no other shelf large enough to set the new machine. Is it safe for me just to put the new one where the old player is now?
