Just added 3500 songs to my iPod... iTunes question...?

I have a new ipod 80GB, and I just spend the last few days manually adding 3500 songs onto it.

Right now, I see a list of what songs are on my ipod in the section for ipod on iTunes.

I plan to set my computer back to factory settings to get rid of old files. I will still set my ipod to manually add songs, but my question is... Once I set my computer back to factory settings and re-plug in my ipod, will a list of the songs I have on it show up automatically in itunes???

I am just wondering because I would like to be able to see what I have on it so I don't add the same song on again.
