Digital cable box connection?
I just ordered a digital cable box from Rogers. The brand of the digital cable box is Scientific Atlanta.
I want to connect my DVD recorder and the cable box directly to the wall. So I connect a splitter to the wall and connect the DVD recorder and the digital cable box to the 2 outputs. I use a component cable to connect the DVD recorder to the TV. I also use a coaxial cable to connect the DVD recorder to the TV. I use composite cable to connect the cable box to the TV.
With this setup, I can record any channel while watching live TV. Everything works fine except the on demand channels. If I connect the cable box directly to the wall, I can watch the on demand channels but I lose the ability to record other channels.
It must be the splitter not compatible. Do you know any specific kind of splitter will work with on demand channels? Or any other way to connect them?
