My Fuji FinePix A350 decided it didn't want to work anymore, so I'd like to buy a new camera soon. A digital SLR would be nice, but I don't think I can get one for under $200. Obviously, I don't want to spend more than $200. A rechargable battery would be nice, and I don't need anything more than a basic software package. And I don't want something that will work fine one day and not turn on the next. What have you used, and what is your opinion of it?

i currently own a canon sd1000. its small and compact and it does its job.

i doubt u can get a dslr for that cheap. i'd recommend canon, especially their SD series.

if you can, the SD800 is an awesome camera. its 7.1mp, rechargeable battery, image stabilization (to help with blurry pictures), LONG battery life, 3.8x zoom, and it has great build quality. look around the internet and you should be able to find one ~ $200.
