My parents recently went to canada and purchase a digital photo frame. the instructions are in french and the only words we can make out is that it needs to be plugged into a 120v outlet. The adapter iteself says input 120v ~60hz output: 9v. In australia the outlet voltage is 240. So my question is, can i add something to this adapter or purchase a new one, what can i do to use the digital photo frame? THANKS!

You will need a step-down transformer. Photo frames need very little current, so the smallest such transformer you can find will probably do. Radio Shack or Fry's will have them.
