Zatch Bell Mamodo Battles not saving?

I have the japanese version of Zatch Bell Mamodo Fury, so basicly it is Konjiki no GashBell Yujyou TagBattle 2, and when I got really far in Tia's story mode and bought a few cards, I turned off my gamecube and when I turned it back on, It didn't give me the option to load story mode, and I had NO cards AT ALL. I know it's not my freeloader, because my other imports are fine.
