Thread: Is Taco Bell completely clueless on sexual euphemisms?

About 5-10 years ago, they had something on their menu called a "chilito." Then a Latino comedian appearing on HBO, poking fun at the fast food chain because their new menu item was named the same as a Spanish slang word for "penis." Within a couple of weeks the menu item was changed to what it is today: a chili cheese burrito.

NOW they are offering a new menu item -- I think it's called a "volcano taco" or something ridiculous like that...but here's the catch. It's in a pink shell. So it's a "pink taco." Is it just me, or do the product and marketing execs at TB live in a bubble??? C'mon guys...go rent Van Wilder and get a clue!

I think you're the only one that's making a big deal of this. Most people wouldn't have even made any connections or saw any sexual innuendos.

I never even put the connection together and I'm pretty dirty minded, lol. IMO, Carl's Jr. has some pretty dirty innuendos. I remember back in the day when I worked there one of there ads was for there new chicken and the tagline was 'Tasty Chicks'. They've also had their famous line, 'If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face,' and I know there's more but I'm having a brain fart right now.

And maybe I'm color blind but I thought the shell of the Volcano Taco was red?
