I'm not an "old folk" but I was in the 5th grade when Emmett Till was brutally murdered for supposedly whistling at a white woman in a store, in Money, Mississippi on 1955. As an adult, I read about Emmett Till's young life being cut short way too soon in his young life. It was noted as one of the leading events that motivated the American Civil Rights Movement. The main suspects were aquitted but later confessed to this senseless & brutal murder.
