iPhone unlocking in Canada? Will an unlocked iPhone work with a bell sim card?

If I get an unlocked iPhone and put my bell sim card in it will it work?
Basically, will my iPhone work if it is unlocked and if I am on bell?
Bell is not a GSM network however, so I'm wondering, as long as it is unlocked...I can just put in my sim card and it will work? Even though bell doesn't use GSM?
